Salamander Spa has revised its treatment menu to include low-touch treatments, as well as a simplified selection of traditional treatments. In accordance with Virginia's reopening guidelines, facials, waxing, makeup and couples' massage services will not be available.

Citrus Drench Wrap

Drench your skin in highly concentrated Vitamin C emulsions that protect your skin from dryness and premature aging. This anti-aging treatment includes a full body exfoliation, followed by a wrap to restore elasticity to the skin. This nutrient-rich treatment concludes with a full body application of Natura Bisse’s Vitamin C Body Cream.

Renewing Espresso Mud Wrap

A detoxifying treatment that starts with vigorous exfoliation with volcanic pumice and coffee and a warm wrap with mineral-rich black silt clay and herbal extract to help smooth and firm the skin followed by a moisture application with Sicilian Bergamot Body Lotion.

Lemongrass Mimosa Body Exfoliation

Revive dull-looking skin with Naturopathica Lemongrass Mimosa Body Scrub. This deeply exfoliating bamboo scrub with shea butter combines sparkling notes of lemongrass with exotic and seductive florals of mimosa, jasmine, and ylang ylang to safely remove dry skin. Conclude your treatment with a cream application of the lightweight Sicilian Bergamot Body Lotion to deeply moisturize with a high concentration of aloe to nourish and soothe.

Crushed Cabernet

This indulgent body treatment begins with the signature Crushed Cabernet Scrub that exfoliates and softens the skin. The treatment is completed with Caudalie’s signature sculpting massage using the Contouring Concentrate to relieve tension and enliven the body.

Practice self-care with these at-home wellness tips from Salamander Spa.

 

BREATHE

Combat stress and anxiety with a simple breathing exercise. A few times a day, breathe in through your nose to a count of five, hold for a count of five, and exhale through your mouth to a count of seven. Repeat.

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliate your skin 3 times a week and follow this with a 30-minute soak in Epsom salts and essential oils.  This really helps to remineralize the skin and relax any sore and stiff muscles. For your face, a hot towel compress is a great substitute for steam. 

SCRUB

Add a body scrub in the shower at least 2-3 a week.  This is important to stimulate the new skin and cell generation and improve blood circulation.  
Try an easy homemade body scrub with two simple ingredients likely in your kitchen leaving your skin soft, smooth, and hydrated.

Coconut Body Scrub
Pure Unrefined Coconut Oil
Sugar
Use a 2:1 ration of sugar to coconut oil, mix together and place in a mason jar or sealed container.
