Spa Appointments

We encourage spa treatments to be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Appointment times will be staggered, and we will only allow a maximum of 6 treatments to be scheduled at one time to allow for adequate sterilization and disinfecting procedures between guests and services. No group bookings of more than four guests allowed at one time based on availability.

Advanced reservations for Friday at 2:00 pm onward, all day Saturday and Sunday morning before noon are reserved for resort guests only. Reservations will become available to non-resort guests the Wednesday prior to the desired dates, based on availability. All hours are subject to change seasonally.

Guests of the Salamander Spa must be 18 years of age or older. Please notify your spa reservation agent or concierge when booking treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, physical disabilities, are pregnant or have any other health concerns. If you prefer a male or female therapist, please make your gender request when scheduling your treatment.

While we make every effort to accommodate same day appointments, we encourage guests to schedule appointments in advance to ensure that their treatment and technician preferences are available. A credit card is required to secure your spa reservation.


Guests will be required to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to their service starting and will have access to the locker rooms to shower and/or change and will have access to the Relaxation Lounges. We recommend guests of the resort to arrive in their robes when possible. Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment, thus decreasing its effectiveness and your enjoyment. Your treatment will end on time, so the guest is not delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

Complimentary valet is available to guests who book spa treatments. Valet tickets can be validated at Salamander Spa.

Locker Room & Facility Access

Per Virginia's Phase 3 guidelines, the Indoor Vitality Pools, Steam Rooms and outdoor whirlpool are not accessible. The outdoor Infinity Edge pool is available for guests after their Spa service (not permitted for Salon guests) and outdoor seating will be limited to adhere to the 10-feet social distancing regulations. The pool and facilities will only be accessible for up to one hour after your service.

Please note, Spa guests will be required to wear facemasks as soon as they arrive to the Spa and throughout their time in the Spa and during all services. All therapists and service professionals will wear the necessary protective gear as required and outlined by the service protocol they are performing, which includes facemasks, gloves and face shields. Please click here for comprehensive list of Virginia's Phase 3 guidelines.

Cancellation Policy

If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the spa at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. Cancellations of packages or private parties require seven-day notice.

Cell Phones and Cameras

To offer an atmosphere of tranquility, cell phone use is not permitted in the spa. In order to protect our guest's privacy, cameras or video are not permitted in the locker areas and wet facilities.

Service Charge

A nonadjustable 22% service charge will be included on your service bill for your service professionals. Additional gratuities may be added at your discretion.
