Open weekends starting May 5 | noon – 6:00 p.m.
Open daily starting May 25 | 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Chill out. Cool off. Immerse yourself in the great outdoors. This is what summer is all about. Welcome to Splash Pool & Cafe, Salamander Resort & Spa’s reprieve tucked away in the Virginia countryside. Bring the shades. Lather on the sunscreen. Settle into a comfy lounge chair with a specialty drink and your favorite summer read. At Splash Pool & Cafe, relaxation is key. The intimate surroundings make it easy to lay back and soak up some glorious sunshine.

When the sun begins to notch up the temperature, there’s plenty of ways to keep cool. Take a comfortable swim in the pool or make your way over to the two cascading water features where kids (big and small) will undoubtedly find refreshing jets of shooting water endlessly entertaining. Throughout the day, the Splash team will be on hand to offer delicious complimentary frozen berries, grapes and other summer amenities.

Stay for lunch and enjoy Splash Pool Cafe’s hearty menu of backyard favorites to appease every appetite. If you have a sweet tooth, we have you covered. Harken back to the days when you could pick your favorite candies from a jar – including Blow Pops, Mike & Ikes and Sweet Tarts. Even cooler are the frozen treats. You can choose from twelve different kinds of ice cream treats and popsicles. All of your favorites are available including Klondike and Twix Ice Cream Bars. It’ll be hard to resist just trying one, but don’t worry. We won’t tell.

Thinking about a tasty beverage? You’ll find a full bar with summer-themed drinks such as the Salamander Caipirinha, the Splash Margarita or the Strawberry Kiwi Splash. A rotating beer selection and a delightful offering of Virginia’s local vintages round out the menu.

Shinola Bicycles

SHINOLA LUXURY BICYCLES RENTALS

Rent our exclusive Shinola bicycles for an exciting adventure! Roll into Middleburg to discover the charming city or enjoy one of the many vineyards in our area. The story of every Shinola bicycle begins in the legendary Waterford Precision Cycles factory in Wisconsin. Each lightweight steel frame is individually handcrafted to Shinola's specifications and design, with Shinola's unique geometry, dropouts and fork crown. After the frames and forks are welded and painted at Waterford, they’re shipped to Shinola's Detroit Flagship store for final assembly by their master mechanics.

Our Shinola bicycles also have a rack that perfectly fits our picnic baskets. To place your order for a customized picnic basket, please call 540.326.4070.

Inspired by the enduring French style of Porteur bicycles first used by newspaper couriers in Paris, the Runwell delivers a classic blend of urban style and practicality. Available in both men’s and women’s models and meticulously designed to yield the best characteristics of a lugged steel frame and fork, the Runwell is engineered for predictable and smooth handling on any terrain. The internal cable routing and virtually maintenance-free Shimano Alfine 11-speed internal hub mean daily riders will rarely need to worry about adjustment, upkeep or exposure to the elements. With a hand-built frame and fork, responsive handling, unrivaled stopping power and classic styling—the Runwell is truly a unique and worthy voice in the crowd.

Shinola was conceived with the belief that products should be well made and built to last. As makers of modern watches, bicycles, journals and leather goods, Shinola stands for skill at scale, the preservation of craft and the beauty of industry.

Equispective

Created by Equestrian Director, Sheryl Jordan, EquiSpective is a personal discovery program that helps people learn more about their communication and leadership style by connecting with horses with the ultimate goal of developing extensive leadership expertise, regardless of one’s experience.

Using an innovative hands-on approach, participants connect with horses while exploring relationship awareness, communication style and leadership techniques. The key to this program is studying a horse’s ability to relate with humans and others within its herd. Participants will quickly draw the correlations between these alliances, providing the tools needed to further develop the artistry of leadership. In addition, they will gain a humble understanding and respect for these powerful, gracious animals.

Equestrian Director, Sheryl Jordan, has devoted the past 40+ years to better understanding the relationships between horses, humans and nature which has culminated in EquiSpective. For the last 20+ years she has developed, fine-tuned, coached and practiced this program, achieving incredible results. She has extensive experience in facilitating this program and will tailor it to suit your needs. EquiSpective is a perfect fit for corporate management meetings and retreats, families, social groups, students and individuals. The multi-level hands-on interaction covers groundwork, round-pen exercises and much more. Each phase promises to equip the participant with deeper self-awareness and life-changing leadership skills.
