the American Ballet Theatre Visits Salamander

“We were honored and excited to be one of just eight stops on this incredible tour,”
said Sheila Johnson, Founder & CEO of Salamander Hotels & Resorts.
“I am always looking for ways to integrate the arts into the programming we offer, and these performances provided truly one-of-a-kind experience for our guests and the community.”

On July 19, the American Ballet Theatre rolled into Middleburg, Virginia to hold two incredible performances on the Grand Lawn at Salamander Resort & Spa.

The spectacularly visual event brought 20 acclaimed artists to Salamander’s luxury resort as part of the internationally celebrated dance company’s “Across America” tour. It was ABT’s only stop at a hotel or resort on tour and an example of Salamander’s creative approach to hospitality and community relations.

ABT Across America crossed the United States in a caravan of six sleeper buses and three production trucks. A group of dancers and 28 support crew traveled across 14 states, for a total of 3,100 miles, performing outdoors. These unique, 50-minute performances took take place on a custom-built 40x76-foot stage.

Tickets included a suggested donation with proceeds going to the Middleburg Community Center’s Art Program. Overnight resort packages were also available.
