ST. JUDE WINE COUNTRY GARDEN HARVEST
The St. Jude Wine Country Garden Harvest is an exclusive epicurean experience to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As part of a national culinary series, taking place in nearly a dozen cities across the country, the event will highlight local growers, wineries and celebrity chefs, capitalizing upon the “locavore” movement and popularization of the farm to table concept.
Chaired by Sheila Johnson, Roland Martin and Dr. Jacquie Hood Martin, along with Celebrity Chef Carla Hall, the event will serve as a formal dinner in an elegant country setting for 300 guests. The unique structure of the event will pair local growers and acclaimed chefs with area vineyards, featuring five courses that showcase the beauty and bounty of the Virginia countryside. The rustic luxury of Salamander Resort & Spa and its reputation for environmental sustainability and local food sourcing, make it a perfect setting for this culinary event.
The goal is to provide guests with an experience that will make them feel closer to the land, and the people whose hard work brings food to the table. And more importantly, it will help guests gain an increased knowledge about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s holistic commitment to the health of its patients, from treatment to nutrition.

Her art is a celebration of discovery and creativity. She enjoys having the ability to see things in a different way and bringing their discovery to light, either through the combination and execution of art materials or the roughly written words and commentary.

PYRO-GRAPHIC KEEPSAKE (WOOD-BURNING)
A favorite among Salamander Resort & Spa guests and a unique experience for every artist. Pyrography, a slow process of burning wood with a specialized heated tool to create a work of art, is fun and memorable for every person of any level of artistic ability. The smell created in the process is rustic, comforting and may remind you of great times sitting around the campfire with friends. 1.5 Hours, $50 per person, ages 8 and up
BRUSH WITH GREATNESS (SOCIAL PAINTING)
A fun way to experiment using painting techniques like some of the master artists of
our time. Try your hand at painting an original Jackson Paddock or a Vincent Van Woha.

CREATIVE SKETCHBOOK (SKETCHING)
